Wear Gray 2012 Closes

It’s been a great couple of weeks here at the Wear Gray 2012 Market. There has been a steady flow of customers and awesome DJ’s providing entertainment for shoppers, donating all of their tips towards the fundraising efforts.

As of Midnight tonight SLT our treasury account holds L$572,032. a fantastic effort from one and all to help the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA). This roughly equates to just over USD$2000.00 (depending on market value at time of selling out the lindens). Each year we have smashed the previous years efforts, this year was no difference. Our last Wear Gray Market closed with a total of L$560,000. As you can see we outdid ourselves again.

Sanura and Arora would like to thank EVERYONE that played a part in this years event. Designers, Bloggers, DJ’s and Shoppers – without all of you we would not have been able to exceed as we have. We look forward to seeing you again in the future at Wear Gray Markets.

We will be posting the transaction screen caps of the final amount transferred from the Treasury account, WearGray Button, on to ABTA once it has been finalised.

Again thank you to everyone who came and supported us this year.

We would like to thank all our hardworking bloggers for their efforts in promoting Wear Gray this year. The traffic has been steady, the comments have been supportive and uplifting and the donations just keep rolling in. As I write this our current balance is L$272,675 which works out to be roughly USD$1100.

…. It’s hunting time!

Wear Gray is officially open for one and all. We have over 80 stores with some fabulous new releases just for Wear Gray.

As well as the new releases and more, there is a sim wide hunt. Below you will find images of hunt items you can find in various stores on the Wear Gray market sim. Stores that are participating have a sign out front letting you know there is a hunt item inside. The hunt item you are looking for is a grey brain. I have to say some of these stores are quite tricky when hiding them so look carefully.

All hunt items cost 10L and all proceeds go directly to the charity. Happy Hunting. There are a few photos missing we will add them as soon as possible as well!

Each of us get involved in charities and fundraisers for our own reasons. Some of us like supporting great charities and to shop shop shop. Then there are those of us that have been through the heartache of losing loved ones too soon.

Some of the creators involved in Wear Gray this year are sharing their stories by displaying little dedications in their stores. So I grabbed a few pictures while it was quiet and decided to share them with you all (click each photo to see it larger).
